Indian Hand Batik Throw Pillow. Purple, Licorice, and Grey.

Batik is a 2000 year old art that traces its origins to South Asia, Indonesia, and Japan. The drawings are made with wax, the fabric is dyed, and then the wax is removed, revealing the final design. The art ranges from very intricate patterns to more painterly and freestyle ones. 

This pillow is hand-stiched from hand block printed fabric. It measures approximately 16 x 16 inches, with a high quality down-alternative removable filler. 100% cotton, from India. 

This item is handmade, with vintage, hand printed, hand woven, and/or hand dyed fabric. There will be slight differences, and tiny flaws that would not appear on a mass produced item.
